226 Abstract: "The 1st International Symposium for Young Scholars and Postgraduates in Marine Science and Engineering" provides an academic exchange platform for young scientists, postdocs and postgraduates in the field of marine research. This Symposium was grouped into five themes: 1. Responses of marine ecosystem and life processes to environmental changes; 2. Marine environmental pollution and ecosafety; 3. Molecular ecology of chemosynthesis-based ecosystem; 4. Mining biological and microbiological resources; 5. Marine engineering technology and their applications. On the Symposium, 3 distinguished marine experts and 88 young scholars shared scientific research progress and insights through exciting presentation.
