Specifically, proximity-based and fingerprint-based localization can precisely find out user location at a fast speed. In the outdoor localization aspect, the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has been applied for many years and is able to provide precise localization results to the users. In this case, current technologies are mature enough to support pervasive positioning, which is to locate an object anywhere seamlessly on a country scale. However, different techniques and data formats are used in these localization systems, and they are not transferable. These mean that a standard that can interconnect these positioning techniques together should be developed in order to achieve pervasive positioning, Indoor Localization and Mobile Computing Supervisor: CHAN Gary Shueng Han / CSE Student: GUO Zhi / ISDN Course: UROP1100, Fall Continuing the project in summer UROP1000, I have been doing the UROP1100 project: Indoor Localization and Mobile Computing by Professor CHAN Gary Shueng Han in the fall semester 21-22. Further study from previous work, I tried to read more difficult papers during the three months and gained much more valuable knowledge than in UROP1000. Those papers offered me a brand-new world which is totally different from my previous understanding. I obtained a much deeper understanding of the indoor localization technic.
