School of Engineering Department of Computer Science and Engineering 119 Interaction Design For Human-AI Collaboration Supervisor: MA Xiaojuan / CSE Student: YAO Chongchong / DSCT Course: UROP1100, Summer The game of Go, despite thousands of years of history and numerous legendary players, is currently under the absolute dominance of artificial intelligence (AI). Motivated by such situations, a considerable amount of professional Go players have started to improve their skills by playing against AI and studying AI’s moves. However, few Go software allows humans and AI to collaborate as mates. In this study, we developed a Go software that supports human-AI collaboration (HAIC), aiming to facilitate AI-assisted training. To enhance the user experience, the GUI of the software was modeled after KaTrain, a popular open-source Go tool. In addition, the software features a calibrated AI assistant able to adjust its skill level according to the user’s capability. Develop a Machine Learning Application on Video Data Base Retrieval Using Tensorflow Facilities Supervisor: NG Wilfred Siu Hung / CSE Student: CHO Heejin / DSCT Course: UROP1100, Fall This essay explores and develops a machine learning application on video data base retrieval using Tensorflow facilities. To better develop the project, the basic definitions and descriptions of machine learning, tensorflow, keras will be studied. Further, data collection and the methodology of how the video classification model can be built will be presented. While developing ideas and meaningful feedback from the suprevisor, it was worthwhile to clarify the steps while learning concepts accurately and precisely to enrich fundamental knowledge in depth. Hence, the aim of the topic was not partially achieved. However, it was a great opportunity for me to enhance soft skills on machine learning and I hope to continue this topic in future.
