This project seeks to assess one such innovation—the use of blockchain-based digital certification and verification of academic credentials for higher education. This progress report follows from a previous discussion of existing case studies, the obstacles in their implementation and their potential benefits. It further explores the opportunities and challenges that a wide-scale implementation may present from the public policy perspective.
