The international exposure and analytical skills that I acquired from HKUST turned me into a social entrepreneur when I was 19. I co-founded a social enterprise to promote empathy for the elderly. Upon graduation, I worked at the United Nations Headquarters in NewYork on health and environmental literacy. Looking back, I realized the engineering knowledge and mindset that I learnt in HKUST were indeed very useful in laying a solid foundation for the career I enjoy immensely. It also inspired me that the true meaning of life is to empower people to create positive changes, a conviction that prepares me for the professional environmental engineer that I am today. 10
