Portfolio managers consider ESG as an important factor in evaluating a company's performance, incorporating ESG into their investment strategy. This practice raises a concern about “Greenwashing” which is designated to attract more funds and investors only. The purpose of this project is to examine these notions with a detailed analysis of the prospectus of ESG investment funds. Students are required to gather ESG-related regulations and analyze the prospectus collected via the SEC website. The investment objective, investment strategy and investment risks of each fund are carefully considered. Several patterns have been observed and a preliminary conclusion has been reached.
