It discusses policy strategy, instruments, implementation, and actors. By synthetically studying India’s regional electric vehicle (EV) policy, dissecting Austria’s ban on incandescent lamps, and spotlighting the role of street-level policy entrepreneurs in India's LED lighting transition, the thesis presents a cohesive narrative on the complexities of sustainability transitions. It underscores the necessity of enhanced coordination among diverse institutions and the pivotal role of capacity development in steering these transitions. It moves beyond theoretical discourse, offering practical insights and recommendations for fostering more effective, inclusive, and impactful societal changes in the realm of sustainable governance. Profesor Naubahar Sharif presenting the Best Teaching Assistant Award to Miss Elizaveta Dorrer Miss Elizaveta Dorrer was nominated for and won the inaugural PPOL Best Teaching Assistant Award, in recognition of her outstanding contribution and service as a teaching assistant. Elizaveta is a researcher in architecture, urbanism, and emerging technologies, currently a Year 4 PhD student in Public Policy under the supervision of Prof. Masaru Yarime. The PPOL Best TA Award aims to recognize and motivate TAs and improve teaching quality. The application and nomination for the Best TA apply to all PPOL TAs (including staff, research postgraduate students from PPOL, research postgraduate students from the GZ campus, and research postgraduate students from other departments/divisions who perform TA duties for courses offered by PPOL).
