The heights (pervalvar axis) are usually equal with or less than widths (apical axis). Both ends of apical axis have a long elevation (horn), which extends diagonally in the broad girdle view. Two long spines (labiate processes with long external tubes) locating on the inner side of the elevations with distance are parallel to the direction of the elevations. Cells are solitary or form short chains via elevations.
