Working memory, particularly spatial working memory, has been identified as a critical component in the acquisition of these fundamental skills. To enhance the experimental design, a web-based version of the working memory assessment has been developed, investigating how children remember the locations of both moving and stationary objects, and what mnemonic strategies they use. By exploring the development of working memory processes in preschool children and the impact of different recall methods, the study aims to provide valuable insights into the cognitive foundations of early mathematical learning. The findings may inform the design of effective educational interventions to support children's STEM learning trajectories from an early age. In view of this, future-oriented thinking, planning and decision-making caliber are interconnected concepts- their cultivation stands as an essential element of developmental psychology- significantly shaping cognitive capabilities. Considering its significance, this current project aims to examine the underlying mechanism by reviewing a compilation of ten relevant, leading peer-reviewed literature in the field of cognitive science. The literature review will focus on learning in failure and other events, which imply the methods that children perceive failure and the way that children turn failure into learning opportunities.
