Established in March 2024, the HKUST Foundation plays a crucial role in connecting supporters who share our mission and vision at the University. She is currently a visiting professor at Shaoguan University Academy of Fine Arts, Vice Chairman of the Ling Ngai Art Association, and a member of the Shenzhen Woman Artists Association and the Hong Kong Institute of Lan Ting. Ms Chow is a student of Masters Ng Yuet Lau, Ho Choi On, Raymond Fung, and Qian Kai Wen. She has participated in exhibitions worldwide and received high praise. Her work was nominated for the Twelve National Exhibition of Fine Arts China 2014, and her paintings are part of the collections at Guangzhou Shixiang Garden and Kai Ping Art Museum. Over the years, Ms Chow has followed various teachers to both China and abroad for sketching. The mountain ranges, particularly Huangshan and Huashan, undulate continuously, with waterfalls and morning mist weaving through them, leaving Ms Chow with profound impressions. Her artwork “Mountain Clouds and Mist”, created in 2019, captures the essence of these landscapes. During the creative process, it felt as though the fresh scent of the forest and nature permeated the air, creating a lingering and memorable experience! HKUST conferred an Honorary Doctor of Engineering honoris causa on Dr Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA. As a newly welcomed member of the HKUST community, he joined Professor Harry Shum, the Council Chairman of HKUST and a renowned computer scientist, for a fireside chat on November 23, 2024. Together, these technological experts explored critical issues surrounding “Technology, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.” The audience in the auditorium was captivated not only by the speakers’ stylish leather jackets emblazoned with “HKUST” but also by the insightful words shared by these two experts on stage. To help the University gather more development resources, Dr Huang generously contributed two autographed HKUST leather jackets, one of which includes a personal message from him, while Professor Shum also offered the jacket he wore during the event to the HKUST Foundation for fundraising purposes. 周巧兒女士，香港出生，美國加州 柏克萊大學土木工程系碩士畢業， 為美國加州註冊土木工程師，現任 韶關學院美術系客席教授、深圳 女畫家協會會員、香港嶺藝會 副主席及香港蘭亭學會會員。周女士 師承趙伍月柳教授、何才安老師、 馮永基老師及錢開文老師。她多次 參加香港及國內外舉辦的書畫展， 作品獲高度評價，包括入選第十二 屆全國美術展。她在國內外書畫 比賽中屢獲殊榮，作品更被廣州 十香園及開平美術館永久收藏。 周女士追隨各位老師到國內外 寫生，各處山巒起伏，瀑布與晨霧 交織，尤其是黃山和華山，讓她 留下深刻印象。於2019年創作的 作品《深山雲霧》正是周女士對 這些景色的印象。她在創作過程中 如感受到清新的大自然氣息瀰漫在 空氣中，寧靜憇甯，心曠神怡。 香港科技大學授予NVIDIA創辦人 暨執行長黃仁勳博士工程學榮譽博士 學位。作為新加入的科大成員，黃博士 於 2024 年 11 月 23 日與本身是著名 計算機科學家的科大校董會主席 沈向洋教授進行了一場「爐邊 談話」。這兩位科技專家共同 探討了有關「科技、領導力與 創業」的關鍵議題。參加者不僅被 兩位講者身上印有「HKUST」的 時尚皮夾克所吸引，更被他們在 台上分享的深刻見解打動。 爲助力科大籌集更多發展資源，黃博士 慷慨送贈了兩件親筆簽名的科大特別 訂製皮夾克，其中一件還有他的個人 留言，而沈教授也送出他在活動中穿 的那件夾克，一同供香港科技大學 基金作籌款用。 17 16
