Anchored in a thematic focus—such as the 2025–26 emphasis on advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals—students engage in deep research, stakeholder interviews, and policy analys to deliver actionable recommendations. The process demands critical thinking, professional collaboration, and clear communication, culminating in a client-facing report and formal presentation at the PAE Conference. More than a nal project, the PAE serves as a launchpad for careers in policy and public service, embodying the program’s commitment to interdisciplinary, applied, and impact-driven education. The Policy Analysis Project/Exercise (PAE) is the de ning capstone of the Master of Public Policy program, challenging students to transform classroom learning into real-world impact. Through client-based consulting and collaborative teamwork, students tackle pressing policy issues with rigor, creativity, and purpose.
