School of Engineering Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering 180 Open-Source Digital Integrated Circuit Design and Tapeout Supervisor: ZHANG Yihan / ECE Student: ZHU Quanhao / ELEC Course: UROP 3100, Fall UROP 4100, Spring This UROP provides practical experience in digital integrated circuit design using an open-source platform. Participants will design a small-scale digital circuit, covering the entire process from logic description to tapeout and testing. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with a basic understanding of digital logic design and a strong interest in building a digital integrated circuit design career. My current research project involves continuously developing the layout of a basic analog circuit (bandgap). During my UROP 3100, I simulated the schematic using Xschem, and the layout has been uploaded to GitHub for fabrication. Additionally, the tapeout from my UROP 1100 (calculator) has been returned, and I have already tested the physical circuit.
