Messi LEE (QSA Class of 2020) Winning the Summa Cum Laude Festival 2024 in Vienna alongside fellow musicians from the Amicis Sinfonia Hong Kong was a thrilling experience for Andy. Performing at the iconic Musikverein marked a significant milestone and achievement that he has long aspired to reach. He felt immense pride in both his team and himself for captivating the audience with their music. This experience further fueled his passion for music and encouraged him to embrace new challenges. Andy was amazed by how music not only united him and his fellow musicians but also helped them forge connections and friendships, creating unforgettable memories with a diverse group of musicians who shared a love for music. Andy YAU (GCS) Nathan won the Asia Social Innovation Award Grand Prize for his project "TongNet" in a competitive field of over 60 proposals. His knowledge from the Quantitative Social Analysis (QSA) program provided him with the tools to support residents of subdivided housing by offering affordable Internet services. The service operates on a business model that balances benefits for both businesses and societal development, facilitating collaboration among residents, landlords, and telecommunication companies. Additionally, TongNet provides subsidies and opportunities for people to engage in community activities. This award inspires and motivates him to pursue his passion for social entrepreneurship. Nathan CHENG (QSA) After graduating from HKUST, Da Hye has been working as a software engineer at JP Morgan in Hong Kong for the past three years. Leveraging the data analytics skills and interdisciplinary problem-solving abilities she gained from her QSA studies, along with her technical software engineering expertise, she has been developing innovative solutions and enhancing platforms for the bank's Equities Derivatives business and trading. This fall, she will embark on a new journey by pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at New York University. By delving deeper into the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, she aims to further advance her career in the rapidly evolving tech industry.
