Members of the
Engineering Enterprise Management Alumni Association
got the valuable opportunity to pay a visit to Cathay Pacific City in mid-July.
They were given a guided tour of its Flight Training Centre, In-flight Service
Training Centre, Check-in Mock Up and Crew Lounge, and gained a good
understanding of the different processes of Hong Kong’s largest airline.

Advancement, warmly greeted over 200
alumni of
Class of 2005
and their families
when they congregated on campus to
celebrate their 10th graduation anniversary.
It was the perfect occasion for them to
reminisce about the good old days, and
marvel at the tremendous development of
the campus over the past decade. The day
concluded with a tour of Hall 8, Hall 9 and
the new Lee Shau Kee Business Building.
Over 30 table-tennis lovers from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Tianjin, Xi’an and Hong Kong
have participated in the activities of the
EMBA Alumni Table Tennis Club
since it was
established in early 2015. Members undergo professional training every week in Beijing
to sharpen their skills and prepare for a number of competitions ahead, which will include
the annual tournament for business schools in China.

The
MBA Alumni Toastmasters Club
achieved huge success at the Division K
contest in late October. Yuki Wong, 2011
BBA (MARK) and the Club’s Immediate
Past President, won the championship in
the Evaluation Contest, while Raymond
Leung, 2004 BBA (ECON) and the Club’s
current President, was the second runner-
up in the Humorous Speech Contest. Yuki
and Raymond continued their success at the
District 89 Speech Contest in Xiamen in early
November — Yuki won second place in the
Speech Evaluation Contest, while Raymond
was third in the English Humorous Speech
Contest. A special highlight following the Xiamen
conference was a speech workshop delivered
by World Champion of Public Speaking, Mark
Brown and co-organized by the Club.
