HKUST and HKUST(GZ), with their respective pedagogical approaches, are synergistically connected under the framework of “Unified HKUST, Complementary Campuses”. With the former being curiosity-driven and the latter mission-motivated, our unique academic structure is designed to tackle today’s complex global issues. HKUST offers disciplinary programs through well-established Schools and the Interdisciplinary Programs Office, while HKUST(GZ) trail-blazes a cross-disciplinary approach featuring four Hubs serving as a nexus among disciplines, under which are the Thrust Areas representing key emerging areas for cutting-edge research. Generous Scholarships Postgraduate Studentship for MPhil and PhD Students • HK$216,360 (~US$27,750) per year • Up to 2 years for full-time MPhil students and up to 4 years for full-time PhD students RedBird PhD Award Program Recruitment Award for new PhD students • HK$40,000 (~US$5,130) and a waiver of tuition fee* in the first year * Local PhD students will receive a tuition waiver from the Hong Kong SAR Government instead.
