However, in a large number of documents, many useless documents are being wrongly selected by the computer which has no relationship with BRI projects. For example, we want some documents containing “南非”, which is a country in Africa but thousands of documents which containing “湖南非物质 文化遗产” or “河南非遗” will be automatically filtered in by computer. Therefore, we need to find out these kinds of wrong documents and delete them. Since the important information in documents is usually not convenient to find, we should also help sort out the information by classification. Several empirical research has focused on the role of BRI projects in economic development, but there are still many aspects to explore. This report mainly focuses on the data processing work of the research, which focuses on the BRI project, including data matching, geolocation matching, and project locating. It is still on the way to having a clear result of the impact. Through the data of the location and matched projects, more studies on the impact of BRI can be conducted. The first part investigates the way that Chinese enterprises engage in the Belt and Road Initiative. The Belt and Road Initiative offers Chinese companies an opportunity to engage in the international market. Through participating in international competition, the competitiveness of enterprises could be enhanced, winning a broader space for long-term development. By analyzing the filtered bidding data, we can find out the distribution of enterprises, for example, their industries. At the same time, we could get to know the amount of money they invest. The second part of the research is to study the local impacts of the BRI projects. By collecting and geocoding China’s foreign aid project, we can know the detailed distribution of BRI projects. By digging deep into the statistics of local economic development and other relevant data, for instance, employment statistics, we could get to know the change of the welfare of local people, therefore, making feasible suggestions on how to enhance the life quality of local people.
