We encourage cultivating a balanced routine with adequate rest and free time. For emotional support, residents are encouraged to visit the HKUST Counselling and Wellness Center for confidential counseling and telehealth services. If residents feel unwell, please consult the campus clinic promptly. To help protect other hall residents, remember to wear a mask and keep your bedroom well-ventilated. Additionally, residents should consult a doctor and promptly report any suspected or confirmed infectious diseases (e.g., Tuberculosis, Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, or Chickenpox) to the University and the Hall Office. This vital measure prevents widespread outbreaks in our hall community. For the collective safety of the hall community, the University and the Hall Office may temporarily relocate any resident with an infectious disease to a separate room until they are medically cleared. Quiet Hours Policy Quiet Hours are observed from 11pm to 7am in accordance with Hong Kong statutory regulations to ensure an environment conducive to optimal rest and sleep. Residents should not make any excessive noise disturbance that may infringe upon the rights, rest and well-being of others. • Excessive noise includes conversations, music, audio, and any other sound source generated within bedrooms, apartments, or common areas that disrupts the tranquility of the hall community. • Resident who encounters noise issues should contact the Security for immediate assistance and follow-up. • Repeated or serious violations of this Quiet hour policy may result in disciplinary action imposed by Residence Master. 27 Health Security and Safety
