Professor Ding Kuiling, PhD, currently serves as President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He previously served as Deputy Director and Director of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Vice President at ShanghaiTech University; and Executive Vice President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is mainly engaged in research on asymmetric reactions and green chemistry based on organometallic catalysis. He proposed and successfully implemented new concepts and methods for chiral catalyst design, and developed novel chiral ligands and catalysts with distinctive frameworks. He has successively received the National Natural Science Award (Second Class), the Shanghai Natural Science Award (First Class), the Shanghai Natural Science Peony Award, the Shanghai Science and Technology Elite Award, the Eli Lilly Scientific Excellence Award in Chemistry, the Sixth Huang Yaozeng Organometallic Chemistry Award and the Chiral Chemistry Award of the Chinese Chemical Society, the Yoshida Prize, the Humboldt Research Award, the Shanghai Outstanding Institute Director Award, the National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker, and the Shanghai Outstanding Science Popularization Figure Award, among other awards and honorary titles. 丁奎嶺，理學博士，教授，現任上海交通大學校長、中國科學院院士。曾任中國科學院上海有機 化學研究所副所長、所長，上海科技大學副校長兼書院院長，上海交通大學常務副校長。 主要從事基於有機金屬催化的不對稱反應和綠色化學研究，提出並成功實踐了手性催化劑設計 的新概念和新方法，發展了具有特色骨架的新型手性配體與催化劑。 先後獲得國家自然科學獎二等獎、上海市自然科學獎一等獎、上海市自然科學牡丹獎、上海市科技 精英、Eli Lilly Scientific Excellence Award in Chemistry、中國化學會第六屆黃耀曾金屬有機化學獎 和中國化學會手性化學獎、首屆日本國際有機化學基金會（IOCF）吉田獎（Yoshida Prize）和 德國洪堡研究獎（Humboldt Research Award）、上海市優秀院所長獎、全國優秀科技工作者、 上海市科普傑出人物獎等獎勵和榮譽稱號。 DING Kuiling 丁奎嶺 President Shanghai Jiao Tong University 上海交通大學校長 33
