Professor Gao Song serves as President of Peking University. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a fellow of the World Academy of Sciences. He also serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress, Vice Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, and Vice Chairman of the Western Returned Scholars Association (Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China). Professor Gao has long been engaged in research on molecular magnetisms and their applications in quantum information technology and biomedicine. He has made original contributions to molecular solids with magnetic-electric ordering, molecular nanomagnets, and quantum-coherence manipulation of molecular magnetisms. He has received the Second Prize of the State Natural Science Award three times, as well as the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He serves as an Advisory Board member of Chemical Science, Editor-in-Chief of Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers, and Associate Editor of National Science Review.
