Professor Ma Huaide holds a PhD in Law. He currently serves as the President of Renmin University of China. He is also a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports, a deputy to the 16th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress (BPC) and the Vice Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of BPC. His main research interests include administrative law, supervision law and intra-Party regulations. He has directly participated in the drafting of several important laws, including the State Compensation Law and the Administrative Penalty Law. Professor Ma has authored and co-authored over twenty academic books and monographs and published over one hundred academic papers. 馬懷德，法學博士，教授。現任中國人民大學校長。第十四屆全國政協委員、教科衛體委員會 委員，北京市第十六屆人大代表、法制委員會副主任委員。主要研究行政法學、監察法、黨內 法規等。直接參與《國家賠償法》《行政處罰法》等多部法律起草工作。出版學術專著、合著 二十餘部，發表論文百餘篇。 Prof. Yanming Ma is President of Zhejiang University and a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as Convener of the 9th Physics Discipline Appraisal Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of China’s State Council. As a distinguished physicist, Prof. Ma specializes in high-pressure physics. As the lead contributor, he has twice received the Second Prize of the State Natural Science Award, China.
