Prof. Li Jin, President of Fudan University and Dean of Fudan University Shanghai Medical College, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, President of the Chinese Society of Anthropology; and Foreign Member of the Max Planck Society. Employing approaches from population genetics, genetic epidemiology, genomics, and computational biology, his research investigates the genetic structure of human populations, their migration history and natural selection, as well as complex genetic diseases and anthropological traits in humans. To date, he has published more than 1000 papers in academic journals including Nature, Science, Cell, NEJM, Nature Genetics, Nature Reviews Genetics, PNAS etc., and his papers have been cited over 83,000 times. He served as a board member of HUGO, co-founded Genographic Project, PanAsian SNP Consortium, International Human Phenome Consortium (IHPC). He also co-founded National Human Genome Center at Shanghai, CAS-MPG Partner Institute of Computational Biology, Shanghai International Human Phenome Institute.
