Professor Li Luming is a doctor of engineering and an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His career at Tsinghua University includes roles as a lecturer, associate professor, and professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering; professor and dean at the School of Aerospace Engineering; and a visiting scholar at the University of Surrey. He has also served as Executive Vice Dean, Dean of the School of Aerospace Engineering, and Vice President of Tsinghua University. In December 2023, he was appointed President of Tsinghua University. Professor Li has dedicated his career to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mechanical electronics and clinical medicine, with a focus on neural regulation engineering, particularly in brain pacemaker technology. Under his leadership, China’s neural regulation theory and related engineering system has realized large-scale clinical application. 李路明，博士，教授，中國科學院院士。曾任清華大學機械工程系講師、副教授、教授，航天航空 學院教授，英國薩瑞大學訪問學者，航天航空學院常務副院長、院長，清華大學副校長，2023年 12月任清華大學校長。長期致力於機械電子與臨床醫學的交叉領域研究，聚焦以腦起搏器為 代表的神經調控工程技術的基礎研究、技術創新和臨床應用，帶領團隊從無到有建立了中國神經 調控理論與相關工程技術體系，實現大規模臨床應用。 Li Shucai, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, has served as President of Shandong University since June 2022. He has been engaged in research on disaster prevention and control of water and mud inrush in tunnel and underground engineering. He is a consultant expert of many national major projects, such as the SichuanTibet Railway Project, Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project, and the Lower Yarlung Tsangpo Canyon Project. He established and innovated the theory and method of advance forecasting of unfavorable geological conditions in tunnel construction, established key technologies of tunnel water balance and disaster management for environmental protection, and made significant contributions to the prevention and control of tunnel and underground engineering disasters.
