A bird’s-eye view on education,
from
a bird watcher
In his role as a research scholar, Professor Wei Shyy studies flight-related fluid
mechanics, aircraft and spacecraft propulsion systems, and biomimetic flight.
In his spare time, Professor Shyy enjoys bird-watching and photography – two
hobbies that allow him to investigate flight movements of birds. A renowned
aerospace engineer and currently the Executive Vice-President and Provost at
HKUST, Professor Shyy has his own take on the university’s development.
