Experience
Continuing A1’s vision of “Alumni Inspire Alumni”,
the
HKUST Alumni Association
organized the
Entrepreneur Circle Dinner Professional Networking
Night in late April. Nearly 30 members joined for a fun
night of experience sharing and exchange of professional
advice with legal, tax and private equity professionals,
all of whom are HKUST alumni.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year and kick
start the many events in the Year of the Horse, HKUSTAA held a lunch gathering with Vice-President for Institutional
Advancement Dr Eden Woon and alumni representatives.

Opportunity
Following the successful launch of the first lunch meeting with
students, the
HKUST Convocation
held two more gatherings
in February and April respectively for all students, both local and
non-local. Students appreciate this rare opportunity to connect
to alumni and learn a great deal from them. During its AGM in
February, the second term (2013-2015) of the Standing Committee
of Convocation
reported to
alumni on
its efforts in
strengthening
bonds among
students, alumni
and their alma
mater.

Start
Recent classes of graduates spent a fruitful evening together at
the first
Young Alumni Happy Hour
, jointly organized with the
HKUSTAA. Young alumni got to know each other through ice-
breaking games and were able to expand their networks through
mingling with senior counterparts. Stay tuned – there will be more
opportunities to see more new faces soon!
